They have a rubber seal on the lid that makes them virtually air tight and highly water resistant. Lids are fully removable with latches on either side. Ammo cans make great tool boxes or use them for their original use, storing ammo! M120/M121 Mortar Cans measure 31"L x 5-1/4"W x 10-3/4"D on the inside. Cans are olive drab green may have slight surface rust and black paint on the side (used to mark cans as empty by the military)
